全明星赛临近 MLB投注赔率发生变化

　　The All-Star game is the ultimate measuring stick time of the season for Major League Baseball teams. The All-Star game gives teams a chance to digest the first half of the season, and assess whether or not they should make a title run and be buyers at the trade deadline later in July.

　　This year will be a little different for most teams. With an additional wild card playoff team added to each league, more teams may find themselves in a situation where they are only a couple of games out of the playoffs, and that could alter the way teams do business at the deadline.

　　"Already, we see three-quarters of the league still in playoff contention," says Gaming Analyst Brad Dawkins. "With that being the case, teams are going to be less likely to dismantle their teams and start building for next season. What it is going to create is an opportunity for the buyers, with only a handful of impact players available."

　　The first half of the season has offered some surprises at the top of the standings. The biggest surprise in the league may be the Washington Nationals, a team that has been mired in last place since they moved to Washington. The Nationals hold the National League East lead, and they have a pitching staff that has analysts believing the Nationals could be around for the long haul this season.

　　Out West, the Los Angeles Dodgers have also provided some excitement for their fans. The Dodgers are leading the NL West, holding leads over the betting favorite Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers have been one of the teams that have provided underdog gamblers with a sense of joy early this season.

　　In the American League, betting favorites Texas and the Yankees are at the top of their respective divisions. The Rangers have the best offense in baseball, and have been helped on the mound by Yu Darvish.

　　The Yankees used a surge over the past two months to claim the top spot in the East. The Red Sox have also started to make their move in the division, climbing to a season high four games above .500 on Sunday.

　　The largest betting favorite in the American league coming into the season was the Detroit Tigers. After starting on fire, the Tigers have struggled for much of the first half. Only recently have they started to make up ground on the surprising division-leading Cleveland Indians. The Tigers entered play on Sunday just a couple of games behind Cleveland in the AL Central.
